After a career in teaching Tony decided in 2008 that it was time to follow his passion and devote his time more fully to developing his work as an artist. With help from local businessman, Mr Stephen Battye, he set up a studio in Redbrick Mill, Batley Carr, where he continues to work today. Since 2008 he has had considerable success in many national exhibitions including:

-Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2015, 2016, 2019.
– John Moores Painting Prize Exhibition 2014 (Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool).

His work can be divided into three main categories: Portraits, Landscapes & Still-life or, as Tony would call it, “other stuff!” The paintings in this exhibition are from the latter category.
