Jill Crossland is known for her imaginative, passionate interpretations of the classical repertoire. She has given numerous recitals at London’s South Bank and Wigmore Hall, and made many appearances at other major venues at home and abroad such as: the Vienna Musikverein, Vienna Konzerthaus, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Sage Gateshead and Bridgewater Hall.
Jill’s recordings on Warner Classics and Signum Classics have received great critical acclaim. Her recording of the complete Bach 48 Preludes and Fugues was described as ‘a remarkable achievement, ranking with the finest’ by the Penguin Guide to CDs.
Jill is originally from West Yorkshire and this is her first appearance at the Brighouse Arts Festival.
