Brighouse Arts Festival 2019. The award winning seventh-annual arts festival will take place from
Friday 4th October 2019 to Sunday 13th October 2019.

An Evening with Lesley Garrett

Lesley Garrett CBE has enjoyed one of the most successful and idiosyncratic careers of any modern-day, classically trained soprano, winning both critical acclaim and the affection of many fans and music lovers through the breadth and diversity of her work.

Lesley will sing live on stage some of her best-loved numbers accompanied by a pianist, followed by a lively Q&A session. “I just love singing! I’m looking forward to meeting audiences – we’re going to have a fantastic fun evening!”

Lesley has taken leading roles in many operas and worked with the English National Opera, Welsh National Opera, Opera North and Glyndebourne Festival Opera. As a recording artist she has recorded 14 albums, on television she has appeared in programmes such as The Lesley Garrett Show & Strictly Come Dancing.

Kiki Dee & Carmelo Luggeri – An Acoustic Journey

For almost two decades, Kiki and Carmelo have been touring their spellbinding acoustic live show across the UK and Europe. Performing in this stripped back fashion allows each of their exceptional talents to shine through and create a wonderful and warm sense of intimacy for the audience.

2019 marks Kiki’s 56th year in the music industry and has cemented her status as one of the UK’s finest and most revered vocalists. Join Kiki and Carmelo for an acoustic journey of stories and song which include unique covers of songs by artists such as Kate Bush and Frank Sinatra and of course Kiki’s own hits “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart”, “I Got The Music In Me” and the stunning “Amoureuse”.

My Generation – Brighouse Baby Boomers

Arts for Brighouse, with support from a National Lottery grant, created an exciting heritage project, ‘My Generation, Brighouse and Rastrick Baby Boomers – Images, Stories, Objects’. Our Heritage Lottery Funded project focused on shared memories, images and objects from baby boomers who live in Brighouse and Rastrick.
